Goals and actions the studio is taking

Here at Ivy Inks Studio, I’m keen to be as responsible and conscious about reducing waste wherever possible. Here are some of the steps and goals the studio has put in place to work towards minimising environmental impact creating a greener future.

A tree planted for every project and order received

Ivy Inks Studio is a member of Ecologi, planting trees each month to offset carbon footprint and lower the impact of the business on the planet and the climate.

You can follow my little forest here and see a breakdown of the projects I’m supporting along with it:

Carefully considered material selection

I always print wedding and branded stationery on paper that is either FSC certified, recycled or recyclable, plantable, biodegradable or handmade. This doesn’t limit us in any way when it comes to selecting the very best colours and textures, with the most natural paper actually giving an enhanced luxury feel in many ways.

Packaging orders

Wherever possible I will try to reuse packaging boxes from orders I have delivered to the studio from suppliers, along with any bubble wrap should they have included it. I haven’t bought bubble wrap in about six years, and I don’t intend to any time soon.

I wrap every order in tissue paper which is made made from the offcuts of teabags. This packaging uses absolutely zero plastic and can be popped straight into the general household paper recycling bin.

I include a small thank you tag in my orders which is printed on handmade, botanically dyed paper, sourced locally from here in the UK.
